Last week’s wildcard weekend saw no underdogs winning in what ended up being four lopsided games. Solid victories came at home for Baltimore, Green Bay, and Houston (yes, I know they only won by six points but they dominated time of possession and never really looked threatened by Cincinnati). Seattle completed the superfecta for the favorites with a road win at Washington. All four favorites not only won but also managed to cover the spread. This week will be different but not in any of the games on Saturday. In the Saturday afternoon game, the new Super Bowl favorites, Denver, should have no problem taking care of business at home against the Ravens. As 9.5-10 point underdogs, it would be a miracle if Joe Flacco manages to find a way to beat a Broncos defense that embarrassed him at home a few weeks ago. Unlike the Ravens’ last opponent, the Broncos should have all their coaches and should have no problem picking Flacco off when he closes his eyes and throws the ball up for grabs ag...

Ravens shock Broncos in double overtime

If this was just a semi-final game, what will the AFC championship game be like? The Baltimore Ravens improbable double-overtime win at the heavily-favored Denver Broncos  has everyone talking this morning. Was it Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco’s 70-yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones, with 30 seconds left in regulation to tie the game? Was it Denver’s Trindon Holliday returning...

Watch: Jacoby Jones saves the game with 70 yd TD

Just when NFL fans were calling the “end of an era” for Ray Lewis as it looked as if the Ravens had played their final downs this season, the Ravens got the ball back with 1:09 left in the fourth quarter down by seven. It was up to Flacco and company to drive it downfield and tie the game. Flacco took a snap and ran up the middle on the first play. On the very next play, Denver...

Joe Flacco finds Jacoby Jones for game-tying touchdown in Ravens/Broncos divisional playoff game (Video)

With less than one minute to play in the AFC Divisonal playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos, it appeared that the one-seeded Broncos were getting ready to host the New England Patriots up by the score of 35-27. All that soon changed after Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco found Jacoby Jones for a 70-yard touchdown reception that ultimately sent the game...

Ray Lewis Says Joe Flacco “Grew Up” Against the Broncos & Is The General Now

No matter how many times the announcers and media try to get you to believe Ray Lewis is willing the Ravens to victory like he is a part of the Avengers, the truth is the Ravens will go as far as Joe Flacco takes them. Flacco has been in the league for a while, has playoff wins every year he has been in the NFL and out-dueled Tom Brady last year (can’t blame him for the kicker...

To look in his eyes, he...

NFL Playoffs: Saturday's Divisional Round Prediction: Ravens-Broncos

Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos  The Broncos are the favorites in this one, not only because of their record but also because they have a decided advantage at home.  The Broncos are 7-1 at home and the Ravens haven been mediocre on the road as their 4-4 record indicates.  What is worse for the Ravens is that Joe Flacco's quarterback rating drops nearly 25 points when he...

Ravens win double-overtime thriller in Denver

With Tebow nowhere in sight, it was Ravens defensive captain Ray Lewis this time preaching to viewers that “nothing is impossible with God.” Joe Flacco stripped the annoying monkey off his back (again) and orchestrated his offense (near-flawlessly) versus a defense that ranked 3rd against the pass (199.6 ypg). Without fear, he catapulted touchdowns, to Jacoby Jones (1) and Torrey...

Ravens still standing after double-OT battle with Broncos

DENVER -- In a game filled with dramatic swings, Justin Tucker delivered the finishing touch and Joe Flacco used his arm to find an answer to every challenge. Peyton Manning throws OT pick, dooms Broncos

It was supposed to be an easy day for the Denver Broncos by all accounts, but the Baltimore went toe to toe, tit for tat with them throughout, and in the first overtime period, Peyton Manning rolled out in Brett Favre like fashion and threw the interception that eventually set up Justin Tucker's 47-yard game winning field goal in double OT. Ray Lewis lives to see another...
