Mike Thomas will start in place of Titus Young for the Detroit Lions this Thanksgiving. The Lions recently suspended Young after he lined up in the wrong spot for multiple plays in the teams 24-20 loss to Green Bay on Sunday.
Drafted out of Boise State in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Lions, Young has played in 26 games for the Lions and caught 81 pass for 990 yards and ten touchdowns.
In ten games this year, he has 33 receptions for 383 yards and four touchdowns. Though it is worth mentioning that he has caught more then two passes only four times this season.
Lions head coach Jim Swartz was critical of the receiver. “When you play a game like football it’s a team sport and players have obligations to the team and Titus hasn’t done a very good job of fulfilling those obligations this week and recently.”
His status should be considered week to week as the Detroit Free Press notes that he has been viewed as lazy and sulking by some members of the coaching staff. He a...
