Mike Tice is one of the most respected offensive line coaches in the NFL. So when he’s not happy with how his line is playing, he let’s them know it. According to Profootballtalk.com, Tice was sending not so subtle messages during their preseason game last Thursday night.

Offensive lineman J’Marcus Webb stated: “I’ve got to get better every day and every week, and that comes with the territory,” according to the Chicago Tribune. “I don’t think of it as a punishment. I’ve got to get better. If he asks me to stay in, then I will.”

His so called non punishment Webb mentioned was being left on the field 41 of 49 offensive plays.

“Tice was not happy with how we started,” “We did nothing that we’ve been preaching about being explosive. Very disappointing. We have to go back to work,” stated fellow offensive lineman Chris Spencer.

The Bears offensive line has their work cut out for them in 2012, as the Bears not only will emphasize the run, but upgrades in the passing will ask more from the O-line.

Jay Cutler will need more time with big targets Brandon Marshall and Ashlon Jeffries providing down the field threats.

The linemen can expect to some long lunch pail hours in camp until Tice feels they can handle four quarters of work.
