Chiefs Post:
Today Kansas City Chiefs three four outside linebacker Mike Vrabel decided to announce his retirement from the Kansas City Chiefs after a long and productive career. Mike Vrabel will now go on to be an assistant coach at Ohio State.
This affects Ohio State because now the Buckeyes linebackers have a former NFL player teaching how to contribute at the collegiate and pro level with Mike Vrabel. Vrabel was also a 3 time Super Bowl Winner with the New England Patriots when he was at the top of his game.
This affects the Kanas City Chiefs because now we know for certain that Georgia rookie Justin Houston will likely start across from Tamba Hali at 3-4 rush linebacker in 2011. Houston could have been a late first to early 2nd round pick. Houston fell to the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft and the Kansas City Chiefs decided to draft Justin Houston.
Were going to see how Justin Houston fares in his rookie campaign with Mike Vrabel gone. If Houston struggles Kansas City may opt to draft...
