Midwest Sports Fans:
Monday Night Football will feature a game that few outside of Carolina and Philadelphia will care about tonight. The 2-8 Panthers head to Philly to take on the 3-7 Eagles. Both teams have clearly struggled all season, so it will be interesting to see which team steps up in this game.

Cam Newton has been in nearly every game this season but has not been able to come out with wins. Closing out games is what separates the good teams from the bad, and the Panthers remain as one of the league’s worst teams.
In their eight losses this season, the Panthers have only lost by double-digits twice, which is impressive for a team with a 2-8 record. These close losses include a two-point loss against then-undefeated Atlanta, a one-point loss to the Bears, and last week’s six-point overtime loss ...
BEST OF MAXIM
In a year that began with the team owner saying that another 8-8 season wouldn’t be enough for Andy Reid to keep his job and the starting quarterback claiming that the Eagles were about to be a dynasty, a 3-8 start with seven consecutive losses surely wasn’t the way the long-time Philly head coach drew things up.
So if team owner Jeffrey Lurie is true to his word and lets Andy...
A seven-game losing streak won't get Andy Reid to change his ways.
As usual, Reid accepted blame and pointed the finger directly at himself following the Philadelphia Eagles' latest loss, 30-22 to the Carolina Panthers on Monday night.
''I take full responsibility. There's a way to get through and I'm not doing it right now,'' Reid said Tuesday....
Sophomore Carolina Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton had a miraculous rebound game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Newton threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns, boasting a 64.3% completion percentage, and a 125.0 passer rating. Newton also accumulated 52 rushing yards and two goal-line rushing touchdowns on the ground.Although Newton’s performance...

Eagles head coach Andy Reid mentioned that QB Michael Vick still hasn’t been cleared from a concussion that he suffered a few weeks ago.
“If the young guys are available to play, we’re going to put them in and play them,” Reid said. “If that’s the situation, I’m not going to hesitate to do that. But we’ll see how things go here as we continue to roll on.”
Not that the woes of Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles have been flying under the radar, but now things could turn uglier as they come under the national spotlight.
PHILADELPHIA -- The Carolina Panthers are asking quarterback Cam Newton to do less, and as a result, he's doing more. He did just about everything Monday night, passing for two touchdowns and running for two more to lead the Panthers over the Philadelphia Eagles 30-22 at Lincoln Financial Field. Panthers coach Ron Rivera said he told his quarterback not to try to carry the...

PHILADELPHIA -- The Carolina Panthers struck for two long touchdown passes in the first half, and their defense came up with a crucial fourth-down stop in the fourth quarter of a 30-22 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field. The Panthers (3-8) won despite a big day by Eagles rookie running back Bryce Brown, who rushed for 178 yards. However...
