We Talk Fantasy Sports:
Unlike last week, when we had great games and finishes around the NFL, Week 3 seemed like it was blowout after blowout, minus the Miami Dolphins win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning continued to make opposing defenses looked confused as Peyton connected on 32 of his 37 pass attempts for 374 yards and 3 scores while the team rushed for over 160 yards and a TD! The odd thing in this one was that Demaryius Thomas played Wes Welker's role collecting a team high 10 completions and 11 targets, but failed to score and gained just 94 yards. Welker on the other hand caught 7 passes for 84 yards and a TD. Oh and remember when everyone thougth Eric Decker was the man out in Denver after Week 1? Last night he caught 8 balls for 133 yards and TD. Julius Thomas caught a TD for the 3rd straight game and is a must start in all league formats. The running backs split carries and Ronnie Hillman and Monte Ball really got the best of the Raiders. Hillman took just 9 carries 66 yards and scored while Ball got 11 carries and went 61 yards. Knowshon Moreno took a team high 12 carries but gained just 39 yards. Hillman and Moreno each caught a pass. Ball lost another fumble.Darren McFadden owners should be happy to know that even though he rushed for just 9 yards on 12 carries, Run DMC rushed for a touchdown and threw a TD pass to Marcel Reece! Terrell Pryor had a decent game completing 19 of his 28 pass attempts for 281 yards and the key thing here is that he did not throw an interception. He also added 36 rushing yards. Denarius Moore did catch a 73 yard TD, but it was due to two Broncos colliding, attempting to make the tackle. However, 73 yards and a TD is still 73 yards and a TD. Moore finished with 6 catches for 124 yards and the score. Matt Prater knocked down all 3 field goals including a 53 yarder.

Tonight ESPN adds another documentary to their critically acclaimed library with the airing of “The Book of Manning.” Of course the film has tons of footage of contemporary quarterback star brothers Peyton and Eli, but thanks to the urging of Manning matriarch Olivia, father Archie and oldest brother Cooper are also featured. The documentary delves into Archie’s transition...
Peyton Manning may not be the best quarterback of all time, and the Denver Broncos may not be the best team of all time, but one thing is certain. Both are extremely talented, and Manning is on a mad tear through the NFL. Usually, stats can be spun one way or another. Not so with Manning’s 2013 campaign to this point. Denver’s start quarterback and future Hall of Famer is averaging...
In lieu of the typical format breaking down both offensive and defensive points, this week, I’m going to focus on the most important player on the field on Monday – Peyton Manning.
First, I haven’t been able to scout much of the Denver defense to have a great idea of their strengths and weaknesses, and I don’t want to insult your intelligence by putting out half-completed...
The undefeated Denver Broncos will take on the Eagles this Sunday, in a battle of teams going in different directions. The Broncos played on Monday night, while the Eagles last played on Thursday, September 19th. Peyton Manning noticed the difference in off days, according to CSN.
“We’re coming off of a short week — it’s nice of the NFL to give Philly 12 days and give...
The Denver Broncos aren’t expected to need any excuses when they play a struggling Eagles team this Sunday, but Peyton Manning went ahead and made a few anyway.
“We’re coming off of a short week — it’s nice of the NFL to give Philly days [off] and give us six,” the Broncos quarterback told reporters Tuesday, according to CSNPhilly.com. “So we’ve got to handle...
Peyton Manning is only getting better with age.
Those surgical scars on his neck are starting to fade like all those fears that he might never be the same quarterback - or even play again - after his right arm shrank from a damaged nerve in his biceps two years ago.
After attacking his rehab as doggedly as he assails defenses, Denver's 37-year-old quarterback is making it hard...
The best start of Peyton Manning's career has the Denver Broncos on the verge of team history.
The Broncos will be trying for a franchise-record 15th consecutive regular-season win Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles come to town.
It would tie them for the ninth-longest streak all-time, still a ways back from the league-record of 23 that Manning helped Indianapolis set from...
During today’s show on ESPN’s First Take, analyst Skip Bayless mentioned that a Redskins insider claims that Robert Griffin III told the coaching staff that he wants to get away from read-option this season because he believes he can be as good of a pass as Peyton Manning.
It certainly looks like the Skins have abandoned the read-option for the most part. If Griffin did...
The Denver Broncos running back trio used a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who got to score against the Raiders (Credit: USA Today) Last night’s Monday Night Football game was nothing short of an embarrassment for the Oakland Raiders. Not only did they lose 37-21, but Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense drove down the field at ease in the first half. Manning ended the...
If hockey is considered the fastest game on Earth and lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet, this Sunday's matchup between Eagles and Broncos will be the fastest game on Earth, on two feet without sticks.
Chip Kelly's up-tempo offense was truly revealed to the league when his Eagles snapped off 77 plays against Washington in Week 1. However, it has been also determined...
Tonight on Monday Night Football, the Oakland Raiders will try and slay the giants of Mile High Stadium. Peyton Manning is in vintage form and his connection with Wes Welker seems telekinetic. Terrelle Pryor has been lighting up teams with his legs and sometimes with his arms, a Broncos’ D sans Von Miller means Darren [...]

This week is the start of bye weeks in the NFL, so we’ll be without the presence of Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton this week. Despite one of the best QB’s being sidelined this week, there are still plenty of games to keep our attention.
There are two games that jump off the schedule at first glance. Philadelphia and Denver is definite must-see-TV. The Eagles fast paced offense...
You know, sometimes there are terrible primetime games that the schedule makers couldn’t have never seen coming. Bears-Steelers on Sunday night, for example. There’s little chance the NFL could have known that the Steelers would turn out to be as big a dumpster fire as they are this season. But there’s no way the Raiders traveling to Denver for a Monday night game ever sounded...
The NFL landscape is never predictable. That’s why it’s so surprising to see so many up in arms about the absolutely tumultuous start to the NFL seasons. The Giants and Steelers are stuck at 0-3 while teams like the Dolphins and the Chiefs are suddenly contenders at 3-0. With so many teams surprising us in both good and bad ways, is there anything we can be sure of heading forward...
