Found June 25, 2012 on State of the Texans:

We continue our photo feature on State of the Texans begun in the interest of entertaining throughout the off-season. We are collecting pictures of our Houston Texans players as they share their activities on Twitter or, in the future, as we receive them and sharing them with the State of the Texans family.

This week, we found a shot of WR Andre Johnson in a beastly pose, as well as a pic of LS Jon Weeks, LG Wade Smith, NT Earl Mitchell and WR Lestar Jean giving back at the Houston Food Bank, and finally a photo of our favorite tackle, Duane Brown, dropping by the Kube’s Sports Zone studio for a chat.

Enjoy, and if you see any candid or posed Texans pictures, share with us via Twitter (contact info below) – we’ll give you credit right here on the site!

But He is a Good Blocking Wide Receiver

This seems to be the battle cry when it comes to fans talking about the wide receiver opposite of Andre Johnson, “but he is a good blocking wide receiver“. Unfortunately for Houston Texans fans and their offense, it sometimes seems acceptable NOT to have a wide receiver that has game breaking ability. I enjoy the idea of having a possession wide receiver in offense but they...

Tate Was Target for the Browns

According to the Houston Chronicle’s John McClain, on draft day the Cleveland Browns were knocking on the Houston Texans’ door regarding running back Ben Tate. Rumors were coming around on draft day that the Texans were offered a 2nd round pick but today it was rumored that the Browns offered the #22 overall pick for the third year back. It feels that Tate’s value as a running...

Houston Texans 2012 Schedule Breakdown: Second Quarter

Yesterday Texans 101 broke down the first four games of the Houston Texans’ season, ultimately predicting that the Texans would start the season off 4-0. Bold perhaps, but completely reasonable given the favorable matchups to begin the year.  Now lets move on to the second quarter of the season, weeks 5-9, which includes the Texans’ bye in week 8. Here is the Texans’ second...

Houston Texans 2012 schedule breakdown: third quarter

Through eight games, we see the Texans at 7-1, their lone loss coming at home to the Green Bay Packers while taking down the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, and New York Jets. Following five home games in their first eight, the third quarter of games for the Texans features...

Dallas Cowboys Might Be “America’s Team”, but Houston Texans are Becoming Texas’ Team

A recent poll showed that 78% of fans that voted believed that the Houston Texans are a better team than the Dallas Cowboys. There are a number of ways to look at this, 22% of Americans root for America’s team, the other 78% simply hate the Cowboys, or 78% of people genuinely believe the Texans are a better football team on the field. I’m sure it’s some combination...
