Remember the Week 1 altercation between wide receiver Santana Moss and New York Giants cornerback Corey Webster? Well, Moss and Webster each were fined $5,000 for their conduct, a league source texted today. Specifically, the fines were the result of "unnecessary roughness - striking [an] opponent in the head area." Well after a play was over early in the second quarter, Moss and Webster mixed it up inside the 10-yard line and had to be separated as they continued to fight while falling in the end zone. Moss took exception to Webster striking him in a defenseless position after his helmet came off while Moss blocked for Clinton Portis on a running play. I didn't mention this in the game story, but looking back now, Webster really played a great game against Moss. In fairness to Moss, who had only two catches for six yards, the Giants rolled a safety
