Tennessee Titans kick returner Darius Reynaud committed a boneheaded play on the team’s first play of the season. Reynaud fielded the opening kickoff from the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 on Sunday with his left foot just in front of the goal line. Reynaud apparently did not realize he had crossed the goal line, because […]

Tennessee Titans Start the Season With the Bone Head Play of the Day

Poor Darius Reynaud. The Tennessee Titans kick returner thought he was being a responsible returner by taking a knee and what he though was the touchback on the opening kick of the game, but instead that knee gave the Pittsburgh Steelers their first two points of the season! You have to appreciate wanting to give his team decent field position by taking a knee; I'm assuming...

Darius Reynaud Starts The Season Right

The Tennessee Titans took three seconds to commit their first hilarious derp of the season. Not even the Jets can claim that. On the opening kickoff of Titans-Steelers, Darius Reynaud picked up a dribbling Shaun Suisham kick with his toe beyond the goal line, then stepped back into the end zone. Yup, that’s a safety and a pretty hilarious one at that.

Maurkice Pouncey injured by teammate, out for season

The day started well for the Pittsburgh Steelers when Tennessee return man Darius Reynaud brain-farted and gave the Steelers two points on the opening kickoff, but it was all down hill from there. The Steelers looked pretty bad through out the day and ended up losing to the Titans 16-9.While the early season loss would be pretty easy to recover from the loss of All-Pro center Maurkice...

Titans stun Steelers 16-9 in opener

The Titans kicked off the 2013 season by kicking the Steelers scoring a 16-9 victory at Heinz Field that provided a big dose of optimism after a 6-10 finish a year ago. The Titans had to overcome an atrocious start however. Return man Darius Reynaud fielded the opening kickoff with his foot across the goal-line and inexplicably stepped back into the end zone. Officials ruled it...

Defense leads Titans past Steelers, 16-9

The Titans used a strong defensive performance that shut out the Steelers offense for over 58 minutes and an offense that did just enough to take advantage of good field position for a 16-9 upset win in Pittsburgh over the Steelers. The game started ridiculously poorly, as Darius Reynaud fielded the opening kickoff at the 1 and then stepped into the end zone for what he thought...

Deja Vu All Over Again for Steelers

It was a strange yet positive start for the 2013 Pittsburgh Steelers as Tennessee kick returner Darius Reynaud stepped out and then back into the end zone for a safety. As suddenly as that happened it was like 2012 all over again. The term déjà vu is defined as ‘a feeling of having already experienced the present situation.’ I don’t know of a more apt term to describe the...

Pitino on Chris Jones: As good a guard as I've coached

Rick Pitino has coached some pretty good guards during his nearly 40-year career in college basketball.  Recently at Louisville, there was Russ Smith, the two-time All-American, and Peyton Siva, the point guard who led the Cardinals to a national championship in 2013. He had a host of talented players at Kentucky, too, the school with which he won it all in 1998.  A player currently...
