Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs had to surrender several firearms last month as part of a court order related to a domestic dispute, the Baltimore Sun reported on Thursday. According to the Sun, Suggs and his girlfriend, Candace Williams, are involved in a custody dispute over their two children. The report says Suggs filed a custody complaint on Nov. 19. Williams filed a complaint sometime afterward. A court order led to Suggs surrendering the guns. “The guns were surrendered over to police pursuant to the court order, and they [Suggs and Williams] are resolving their issues,” Suggs’ attorney told the Sun. “All I can tell you is that he’s in rightful and lawful possession of the guns but turned them over pursuant to the requirements of the law.” The Baltimore Sun says two 911 calls were received from Suggs’ address on Nov. 21, but that no reports were taken. The two have a history of domestic problems. Williams filed a complaint against Suggs in December 2009 alleging domestic violence. The complaint arose in Williams’ application for a protective order. She received the protective order but rescinded it and a $70 million lawsuit a month later as the two attempted to reconcile. Suggs’ attorney told the Sun that all domestic issues should be resolved at a court hearing next week.

  • WOW....you are lonely.
  • It will end with Suggs giving her "BIG MONEY" to get rid of her-FOR HIS OWN SAFETY. She has trouble written all over her. LIFE IS TOO-DAMNED short to be miserable, find another one that will appreciate you. BUT,STAY COOL. AND good-luck. IT'S ONLY MONEY.
  • Yeah, but what's more miserable losing money or the woman that you truly deeply love and can't seem to live without. Just speaking from real life experiencea
  • How is life in the home
  • losing the money! when women are done with you, they just move on and never look back!! especially when your football money is gone! you can get other women, but most of the time not the money!!
  • I am a season ticket holder and unfortunately sit in Terrells girlfriend section. She is nasty, vulgar and no respect to anyone except people she is with. She hunts out visiting jerseys and will actually go to that isle and just start in on the visitors. No regard to kids in the stands at all. She really takes away from the game. The "Don't be a jerk" text number before home games is a joke. Nothing happens. Get rid of her and move on. You are a better better ball player with out her but more important, a better person.
  • It is too bad security doesn't boot her out when she does this. Maybe it needs to be brought to their attention.
  • They're both trouble.
  • Can somebody please explain to me why this commish and GP's dictate and rearrange the Consitution?
  • Huh? Can you explain your sentence?
  • I guess I shall exercise my 1st amendment right and withdraw my earlier question...Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  • Your safety
  • too bad but its so true, been there at first they love you but we forget that love turn to misery, because all along they only intention was the benjamin....never was no love, woman see kids today as bank account,. we all the respect to those woman that has work so hard to move forward in life, with out ruined the live of a man that went to college work so hard and later found out that only was beneficial to her, because never work never paid social security i did the sense i was 15 and took everything i have work forward.......i braying my self for love a bimbo, gold digger, strap, junked.......well my man get ready to see all those million go..
  • Leave your Guns at the Door, if ya wanna DRINK and FIGHT!
  • DORK
  • Says a man who wants to die with his boots on
  • Domestic problems and a gun. Who is that football guy who just killed the mother of his child and then shot himself?
  • Sorry, pal, but in Maryland, anytime any party files a restraining order or there are domestic issues, you have to turn over your firearms. Nowhere in the story did it say that TSizzle threatened her or brandished his weapon. Way to go.
  • Not yet anyway, now its too late.
  • Not to sound like a male chauvinist pig but women are totally out of control. It's obvious that they are "out for groceries" with these wealthy men so money limits should always be placed on their payoffs when the relationship goes south. Don't use a gun when you get frustrated with a female, it only gets the anti gun nuts fires up!
  • ANOTHER BALTIMORE CRIMINAL! GO FIGURE
  • He called the police, you don't know the whole story and quite the opposite of a criminal he did nothing wrong he voluntarily surrendered the firearms under Maryland law. Do some research and find out what king of person Terrel is and then research the girlfriend. Unfortunately she is trouble but they are trying to work things out the right way.
  • Shoreman, thanks for your comment :) See mine above.. they're almost identical.
  • you must be one of those idiots out of pittsburgh
  • Don't drive cars
  • A judge can order the resident to surrender his/her firearm if a complainant was made in a Domestic situation. Suggs can get them back if he behaves. Besides, this should be a sign to him that he needs to broom this woman. She is trouble for him.
  • get the trash outta the nfl? these guys are more often than not hard working athletes. however if you feel they are trash perhaps you should make your own football league and have players who are not "trash"
  • NEVER EVER TURN OVER FIREARMS. THIS IS COMPLETE BS.
  • You might them to kill a girl friend
  • Why is it always the blacks that must have "several guns"? It's a sad commentary when the courts have to take their guns away to protect them from themselves.
  • its not "blacks" as you say who always have several guns. rednecks do to.
  • I'm neither a black nor a redneck.....
  • right, rednecks do to thats y u always c their kids have killed their parents or friend cause the guns is not in a safe place, go to the library and do some reseach and u will see but watever the race is they really need to do away with guns except for professional use like the arm forces or police
  • Stop getting involved with these troublesome females guys. If you see crazy in the beginning of a relationship, then most likely its not going anywhere, maybe for a short period of time, however it will most certainly rear it's ugly head sooner than later. If you're a wealtthy man in this current society of money seeking females with little or no ambition to make their own money, your antenna's should be on major alert!!!
  • Suggs...Just another Suh, if these guys can't see through the veneer of these women that just want to get rich quick, then they deserve what they get....
  • This may come as a big surprise to you all but the Federal Gun laws have changed .....You can no longer own a Firearm if you have been convicted of Domestic Violence ... for those that dont understand ... it means if you verbally assult your spouse you have comitted Assualt by Terroristic Acts
  • Cool
  • GOLD DIGGIN HOE
  • there people that shouldnt have guns kids and nfl players
  • Why the eff do these idiota have guns? There is not a single athlete IMO who should have a gun. They are crazy MFs, just like the Chiefs player, and cannot be trusted with firearms. Nor can most teapartiers for that matter.
  • thugs, trash, u must dont no a thing bout life, in case u dont there is a thing call having protection for ur house and must be wat they was for cause it never said anything bout he threaten her with one so if he has to be all that for having guns then the world is nothing but thugs and trash and dont forget the stores that sells them so i guess the stores r thugs and trash how sad
  • The ravens are a bunch of thugs.,starting with that Lewis. These tough /so called men,try to kill each other on the weekends and then they get tough with their girl-friends or wives. These are"nt men, they are a bunch of cowards and I hope she takes him to the cleaners and leaves the country.
  • Disarming a potentially violent person makes sense. How many people have gon on to killso meone when they hve a history of violence? The Shooting suicide the other week said that the player had been under a psychiarist to deal with issues. Isn't mental problems a reason you cna't buy guns? Who didn't bother to tell anyone that this bro has a problem and a gun or two. Information it'd be nice to know. I don't want to give up my second ammendmenht rights just because --mbo decided he can't handle his woman or mental problems. Let's selectivlely disarm these people.
  • When is the public going to open their eyes and look at the Heat and La Queen Jane for what they really are?If it had"nt been for the refs and commish, they would not have been given that title last year. This year is different because they are not forced to help and you can see the difference in the box-scores.When Washington can beat them,it tells you how different this season is going to be and then the Knicks blow them away and without,Carmwelo!!The Spurs did"nt want to embaress them and that is why they kept their starters out.Open your EYES,WORLD!!
  • What a crock, having to surrender your guns for domestic violence. I seriously doubt Suggs needs a gun to do damage to this woman, or are they going to make him surrender his hands too. Personally, I'd rather use a dull axe.

Dwyane Wade has made financial sacrifices in the past, which have helped the Heat capture championships in 2012 and 2013.
