The Cowboys have tested Martellus Bennett's mental capacity this off-season. That's because he has the potential to be an impact player.
Bennett believes that the Cowboys he forms the best tight end tandem in the league with perennial Pro Bowler Jason Witten. It's a point that's tough to argue against, and the Cowboys are determined to take advantage of their talent.
The Cowboys intend to put the two tight ends on the field together often -- and give defenses all sorts of different looks out of what is traditionally a run-oriented personnel grouping. Witten, a heady veteran, is comfortable lining up as a tight end, slot receiver, wideout, H-back or fullback. Bennett, who has never played in the backfield, is being asked to learn all those roles.

This combination has very good potential, especially with Bennetts' size and speed. He also has good hands.

Yeah, it's not every day a guy that big runs that fast.

They say he's bulked up a little, gotten faster and is making big plays in OTA's and mini-camp. This guy will be a big weapon this year.
