Team owner Jerry Jones noted that DeMarco Murray will remain the Cowboys' No. 1 running back in 2012 over Felix Jones, according to the Star-Telegram. Jerry Jones said, "He’s just harder to bring down than Felix Jones. Felix has the quickness, the vision and can get outside. But Murray did bring that dimension of power, and there’s probably not five pounds’ worth of difference between the two. But he finishes. He’s just so powerful into the finish."
Fantasy Spin:
Murray was a rookie phenom while filling in for the injured Felix Jones in 2011, and will be the preferred fantasy back to target next season while working on early downs and the brittle Jones serving as a change-of-pace type back. This is assuming Murray will bounce back fine from his broken right ankle.

Cowboys, Giants were close but yet so far
The Cowboys could have prevented all this.
It was the Cowboys who stood in the way of the New York Giants from making the playoffs and ultimately the Super Bowl. Had the Cowboys won the regular season finale on New Year's Day in New Jersey, it would be them, not the Giants, winning the NFC East title and advancing to the playoffs.
It was that close, 9-7 against 8-8. And yet...
