During his ten-year NFL career, Nate Burleson has had the chance to work with two powerful gunslingers — Daunte Culpepper and Matthew Stafford.
Though Stafford has a ways to go before matching Culpepper’s career numbers, there is evidently one thing they share — a rocket right arm.
Earlier this week, Burleson told NFL.com that Stafford has the league’s strongest arm, which, scarily enough, is only getting stronger.
“My teammates and I have been talking about it. He’s getting stronger. People don’t realize last year was his healing-up year from the shoulder surgery,” Burleson said. “Imagine this year after a whole summer of working out (at) full strength and a season under his belt. He couldn’t work out last year. Just imagine …”
Burleson then shared a story of Culpepper once breaking his finger by delivering a pass so hard, and feels Stafford shares that same talent.
