The New England Patriots have released Joseph Addai.Accord to the team website, the Pats released Addai, while signing TE Visanthe Shiancoe and defensive lineman Tim Bulman.Again, according to the team's site, Addai, 29, was signed by the Patriots as a free agent on May 10, 2012 following a six-year career with Indianapolis. He originally joined the Colts as a first round draft pick (30th overall) out of LSU in 2006 and was released by Indianapolis on March 9, 2012. Multiple sources have him failing his physical. The Flying Elvii currently have four running backs on the roster: Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, Danny Woodhead and undrafted rookie Brandon Bolden.
