In a three-part segment leading into the start of training camp, we examine the expectations for the Patriots' free agent acquisitions, rookies, and veterans this season. The only one left to talk about is the veterans, so let us get started. We are [yet again] going to use a different grading scale, this time based on the accomplishments and disappointments of previous players throughout their careers. Obviously Tom Brady should be the highest standard, but since he was used in our previous article, let us use someone different. 1 Troy Brown: Mr. Patriot is the highest ranking Patriots player [outside of Brady] from recent memory in my book. The man did it all, and helped the Patriots win all three of their Super Bowls. He was everything you ask for in a Patriots player. He was a leader, he did whatever he could to help the team win, even if it meant playing defense. He was clutch, and he put up very nice statistics. 2 Mark Anderson: Was Anderson great? No, but he was v...

Tom Brady goes cliff jumping in Costa Rica

Before he had to make his way back to Foxborough for another arduous journey through another grueling training camp at Gillette Stadium, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his brood embarked on a family trip to Costa Rica in July to relax, soak up some sun and enjoy some quality time together. Along with [...]

Tom Brady At Training Camp

I’m going to rush for at least 47 yards this year J… Tom Terrific looks like he is ready to get back to business as he practices at Patriots training camp.  Brady should be the #2 QB off the board in fantasy drafts, but it wouldn’t surprise me if someone grabbed him before Rodgers.  Love him this season with the addition of Lloyd and McDaniels calling the shots. Peyton...

Brady wants to play for a 'long time'

Tom Brady turned 35 on Friday, earning the Patriots' quarterback a few birthday serenades from fans at New England's training camp. While Brady has said in the past he would like to play until he was 40, and has shown few signs of slowing down, the team is getting ever closer to the unthinkable, life without their franchise quarterback. After practice Sunday, Brady wouldn...

Brady confident at Patriots training camp

Bits and pieces of gray stubble jut out from of his chin and cheeks these days, hard to notice if you're not looking close enough. A black brace is always secured to his surgically repaired left knee. His hair is shorter, showcasing a slightly receding hairline. One careful look at Tom Brady might reveal that he is celebrating his 35th birthday Friday. Then the three-time...

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s Baby #2? (Photos Inside)

New England Patriots star Quarterback, Tom Brady may be a new daddy soon. Brady  along with his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen appeared to have let a secret out of the bag when she showed up on the beaches of Costa Rica in her bikini yesterday. The couple has a two-year old son Benjamin but have not confirmed the second pregnancy even though the photo clearly shows that congratulations...

For the New England Patriots, it’s that old 2007 feeling

Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels are going to be working together again leading many to believe that an explosive Patriots’ offense is on the way It would be easy to do the simple thing and sit here and say that I can’t remember an anticipation for a Patriots’ season like this one. The thing is, I would be lying to you. The entire off-season felt exactly like the start of the that...

New England Patriots: Rookie Expectations

In a three-part segment leading into the start of training camp, we examine the expectations for the Patriots' free agent acquisitions, rookies, and veterans this season. Yesterday we talked about the free agent acquisitions. Today, let’s take a look at some rookies. Let us use a different scale for “grading” these guys today. 1 Tom Brady: There cannot be any question...

Gronk Smashes Pats Practice

I smash Bibi Jones and DBs all alike Juan… Rob Gronkowski has been put under orders to limit the party life style that we all love and envy, and get back to business on the field. The dude is just a freakin’ beast and there is no way any DB (like the shrimp pictured here) has any chance of covering The Incredible Gronk. Tom Brady At Practice Don’t Sleep On Brent Celek

Romo, Flacco Not in Brady or Brees' Class

Some QBs just aren't worthy of the "elite" title yet. Or are they? According to a few players around the league, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco and Tony Romo belong in the rarefied air that Tom Brady, Drew Brees and co breath.

Stevan Ridley Is Kid Friendly

This ain’t my kid Juan… Stevan Ridley’s fantasy value will take a jump this week. Joe Addai showed he’s an average Joe by failing his physical and the Pats said peace out. I don’t want to jump the gun and the Pats run a spread offense, but we could see Ridley in the BJGE role at the very least. Shane Vereen could actually have the better value with an ADP 6-7 rounds later...

Tom Brady and David Ortiz, Justin Verlander and Calvin Johnson Among Top 10 Superstar Pairings From Same City (Photos)

Before Wednesday's game between the Yankees and Mariners, shortstop Derek Jeter and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky were spotted shaking hands at Safeco Field. It was the reunion of two New York City sports icons. While Gretzky didn't shine as much with the Rangers as he did with the Oilers or Kings, he still carries a lot of clout in hockey just like Jeter in baseball. Those...
