Sean Payton has agreed to a contract extension with the New Orleans Saints, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports.
Details have not come out about the price tag of the deal, but the length is for five years, per ESPN’s Adam Shefter.
The NFL suspended Payton for the entire 2012 season after the league’s investigation into the Saints’ bounty scandal.
After staring the season with a record of 0-4, New Orleans has won seven of its last 11 games and would end the year on a three-game winning streak at .500 with a win on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
