I have the song from Peaches and Herb Reunited in my head. It’s because the Giants are getting the band back together after this bye week and it feels so good.

The return of Justin Tuck, Brandon Jacobs, Chris Snee and Prince Amukamara and hopefully the return of Ramses Barden are a beam of light coming off the bye.

The defensive line has done a great job with the absence of Tuck. Now with him coming back, the front four guys will be the beasts we all know and love. How many teams can say that they have too many good defensive end players? With Osi, Tuck and JPP, they are to be feared and with other defensive players stepping up I am thinking that good things are definitely coming.

Ahmad Bradshaw has been doing what Ahmad does best. He has been a hard working and dependable player who wants to win. He had a heavy load on his back without Brandon Jacobs but he stepped up and delivered when the team needed him to.

Now with BJ back, our running game can continue with the power and speed that started before the bye week. Now is the time to feed off that energy and show the teams that will need to prepare for the Giants that the running game is back.

The offensive line is getting more acquainted and I believe is starting to run on all cylinders. Before the bye I believed that really showed with the return of David Baas and now they have Chris Snee back after he was out for a concussion. He will be an oldie but a goodie for the guys up front and it will be great to have him back in the lineup.

Prince is still a rookie and we need to remember that. However, we as fans are excited to see what this kid can do. If he continues to progress and shows that Round 1 draft player ability, our secondary will be a force as our front four are. I don’t believe that his presence will be immediate but looking into the future is never too bad a thing.

Ramses Barden hopefully will be back off his injury. He has been injured over and over again and hasn’t really been able to show what he can do. Eli Manning needs a big target in the end zone and hopefully they can finally see if their pick for him can and will contribute.

I know that we are still missing key guys like Terrell Thomas and Jonathan Goff. Guess what? They are out for the season and there is nothing no one can do about it.

What we can see is that the Giants Football team is stepping up as a unit. Are they perfect? No not by any means. But they are doing what it takes to win. As long as they continue to play 4 full quarters and stay healthy, then I don’t see why they can’t take over the NFC East and progress into the playoffs.

The second half of the schedule is a rough one but in all honesty, its not one that the Giants should fear away from. They are a good football team and Eli is playing at a great level. As long as guys step up and do their jobs then I don’t see why we can’t have a 11-5 record.

And fans look at it this way. Aren’t we always saying that the Giants are overlooked and not appreciated?? Well look at the second half of the schedule. If we beat a lot of those teams then they will be recognized and people will see that the New York Football Giants ARE a contending football team.

You have to think about it. In football, like with some great bands, it always work better when the majority of all original players are reunited to win.
