As an avid Eagles fan, I usually watch these Giants vs. Cowboys games with nonchalance hoping everybody sucks, but this game was different -- I was looking for a hero amongst a den of enemies.

Not an easy feat for a Philadelphia fan, but mission accomplished.

Between DeMarcus Ware's 100th and 101st sacks, and the Dallas defense practically shutting down the Giants' run game, there were plenty to choose from.

But top choice for me would have to be Kevin Ogletree, who caught eight passes for 114 yards and two TDs and made clutch plays to bail Romo out.

At game time his future as a No. 3 receiver in the Dallas offense was yet to be determined, after tonight's game, the coaching powers-that-be in Dallas should have a clear decision on that.

Now the fun part, the award for the Zero of the season kickoff game goes to the Giants 'offense. Yes, I said it, the stats belie the game performance.

David Wilson's early fumble set the tone, Bradshaw's 17 carries for 78 rushing yards and one TD did little to numb the sting as he had difficulty getting penetration or forward yardage.

That being said, the offensive line also struggled pitifully, and the receiving corps had far too many cases of the dropsies. Any one of these by themselves would be enough for a nomination for Kickoff Zero, but the combination of the four paints the clear picture.

Make no mistake, the Cowboys did not play a perfect game tonight, but their mistakes were somewhat less costly, the defense came to the rescue aster Romo's bonehead interception, yet another reason for their hero status tonight.

If either the Cowboys or the Giants want to be front-runners in their division this season, some fine-tuning is in order. This Eagles fan waits anxiously for their appointed times at the Linc.
