Last week the New York Jets could not convince anyone they were actually a professional football team.  This week, a new Jets team emerged. Here are five things we learned:5. Quarterback playThere is no explaining the play of rookie quarterback Geno Smith.  Except maybe that it is rookie quarterback Geno Smith.  Last week, Smith passed for 29 yards with one interception.  He was benched at halftime for Matt Simms.  Smith had not thrown a touchdown pass since October 17.It is now week 14 and the Jets are leaving their playoff hopes in the hands of Smith.  So Smith simply passes for 219 yards with one touchdown.  He also ran for 50 yards with one rushing touchdown. We learned you may not be able to count on Smith, but you can't count him out. 4.
