The New York Jets signed Braylon Edwards on Tuesday, just a week after the veteran wide receiver referred to the people who run the team as idiots.
After Edwards was waived by the Seattle Seahawks, Gang Green put a claim on him and was awarded with the former 2005 first-round pick (selected third overall by the Cleveland Browns) on waivers, the team announced.
The 6-3, 214-pound wide out struggled to separate from defenders in Seattle, as he registered just eight receptions for 74 yards in 10 games with the team. Last season, the 29-year-old caught just 15 catches for 181 yards in nine games with the San Francisco 49ers.

However, he has made his presence felt in the past with the Jets. In two seasons (2009 and 2010), Edwards caught 88 passes for 1,445 yards and 11 TDs combined through 28 games (26 starts).
His second season with the team was by far his best, as he reeled in 53 receptions for 904 yards and seven scores. Now he’ll start his second sti...
BEST OF MAXIM
You thought the expression was “Misery loves company.” Well apparently, idiocy does, too, because the Jets have claimed Braylon Edwards off of waivers from the Seattle Seahawks. Either the Jets’ front office pays no attention to social media (yeah, right) or they think that Edwards has spent his off-time being retooled a-la Steve Austin into a better, faster, stronger receiver...
The Jets have picked up their former wideout, Braylon Edwards off of waivers. Remember it was just last week that Braylon referred to Jets management as “idiots” for the way they’ve handled QB Mark Sanchez.
Apparently the Jets are very forgiving and were trying to trade for Edwards a few weeks before the Seahawks cut him. Two seasons ago Sanchez and Edwards had great chemistry...
Braylon Edwards is back on the field with the New York Jets, and is expected to play against the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.
Edwards was claimed off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday, reuniting the veteran wide receiver with quarterback Mark Sanchez and the team he helped lead to consecutive AFC title games in 2009 and 2010. Edwards was expected to be a limited participant at...
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets have claimed wide receiver Braylon Edwards off waivers.
Edwards is back with the team that let him sign with the 49ers last season. What’s really funny is just he just bashed the Jets last week, which likely led to him being released by the Seahawks.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards could end up signing with the New York Jets, who’ve been depleted at the wide receiver position all season.
After winning yesterday’s game against the Jaguars, the Jets are now 6-7 and only a game out of the wild card race. If they sign Edwards it will give them a better chance of making it to the...
This is just so Jets.
New York is contemplating bringing back their former wide receiver Braylon Edwards, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Edwards accumulated 1,445 yards and 11 touchdowns in his 28 games with New York in 2009 and 2010.
Edwards recently blasted the Jets‘ front office on Twitter by way of supporting his former quarterback Mark Sanchez.
“Don’t blame Sanchez...
As Braylon Edwards rejoices a reunion with quarterback Mark Sanchez, the wideout's balky hamstring might be a cause for concern leading up to the Jets' Monday Night Showdown against the Tennessee Titans.
Braylon Edwards was pretty good in 2010, and so was Mark Sanchez. The two have pretty much stunk since. Edwards and Sanchez, who connected on 62 passes, eight touchdowns and more than 40 first downs in the New York Jets' 2010 campaign, were reunited this week after an odd sequence of events."We have a good chemistry together," Sanchez said Tuesday, via the Star-Ledger...

Will Braylon Edwards make Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum look like idiots or geniuses after claiming him off waivers on Tuesday afternoon?
