The New York Jets signed Braylon Edwards on Tuesday, just a week after the veteran wide receiver referred to the people who run the team as idiots.
After Edwards was waived by the Seattle Seahawks, Gang Green put a claim on him and was awarded with the former 2005 first-round pick (selected third overall by the Cleveland Browns) on waivers, the team announced.
The 6-3, 214-pound wide out struggled to separate from defenders in Seattle, as he registered just eight receptions for 74 yards in 10 games with the team. Last season, the 29-year-old caught just 15 catches for 181 yards in nine games with the San Francisco 49ers.

However, he has made his presence felt in the past with the Jets. In two seasons (2009 and 2010), Edwards caught 88 passes for 1,445 yards and 11 TDs combined through 28 games (26 starts).
