Giants must address running back position   Moore ready to get back to work Still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, defensive end Damontre Moore told the Star-Ledger’s Conor Orr he was intent on getting healthy and beefing up for 2014. “I want to get back as healthy as possible and pick up like 15 pounds of muscle,” he said at the Biondi School on Tuesday, where he gave a speech. “I can do light stuff, I’m not cleared to lift weights yet but as far as the other stuff goes, I’m maintaining my cardiovascular strength and stuff like that. Just trying to enhance that part of the game so once I get cleared I can focus on the weights.” The 2013 third-round pick has high hopes for his second year in the NFL after playing quite well when given the opportunity during his rookie campaign. He played with the defense on just 136 snaps, according to Orr, seeing his most playing time in the season finale against the Washington Redskins. He finished the year with 11 tackles, two forced fumbles and a punt block, as he starred on the special teams unit.
