First off, do you like the new redesign of The Landry Hat? It’s got a lot of tools on it and I personally love it.

The NFL has listed all restricted free agent signings and for the first time in several years and there’s not a whole lot on there for the Dallas Cowboys.

On March 26, the Cowboys signed restricted free agent Cory Procter and that’s it.

Maybe more important was the snub owner Jerry Jones gave to free agents this year. The Cowboys didn’t even seem to show even minimal interest in any single player.

The Cowboys are certainly leading me to believe they plan to improve the roster and add depth through the draft, not free agency. I think it is a good idea, too. It won’t be as expensive and there is always the possibility of finding that gem of a player in any round of the draft.

Most mock drafts show the Cowboys still picking an offensive lineman and most show that lineman to be Idaho’s Mike Iupati, who one writer said is the best guard available in the 2010 NFL draft. Iupati is probably the safest pick for the Cowboys to take and it is likely he will see playing time sooner than later. But most importantly, he would add depth to a section of the team that desperately needs it.
