The Houston Texans believed that they were adding a key piece to their secondary this offseason with the addition of veteran free agent S Ed Reed. It was revealed that Reed underwent offseason hip surgery and has struggled with his recovery. Reed was placed on the PUP list during training camp and the team made the decision to remove him from the list prior to the start of the regular season. Houston must believe that he will hit the field sometime in the first six regular season games after exercising that move. When Reed will return to the field was one of the biggest questions surrounding the Texans camp this offseason. The debut of the future Hall of Famer will not happen this evening. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, “Texans S Ed Reed, recovering from off-season hip surgery, is not expected to play tonight vs vs. San Diego, per sources.”

The San Diego Chargers Win Quick Twitter Throwdown With The Texans

Joe Flacco: The Price Of Success Was Too High

This isn’t intended to be a hit piece on Baltimore GM Ozzie Newsome, or an irrational anti-Joe Flacco screed. The fact is simply this: Flacco is not good enough to elevate the lesser talent around him, which is exactly what a premium paid quarterback has to do in a strict salary cap league.Newsome had little choice but to re-sign Flacco to the record six-year, $120 million bank...
