The NFL could not have set a better way to open season. I’ll be discussing each of the must-see games, and give a brief description of why you should be tuning in.

49ers @ Packers: The top two seeds in the NFC battle it out in an old school vs. new school type of game. Who will come out on top, the MVP lead high scoring offense or the NFC’s best defensive unit? This match up could very well determine home field advantage for one of these teams. These two teams combined for a 28-4 record last year. Like I said, this game is must see for any NFL fan.

Steelers @ Broncos: A rematch of the game that shocked all experts including myself, but that isn’t the story here. The story is four time NFL MVP Peyton Manning returning from neck surgery, facing the leagues best, and quite possibly most fierce defense. The Steelers are going to see how well Manning's neck has healed, and every time he gets hit I’m going to be grabbing my neck. These two teams may have a long history of power running, but this game is going to come down to whom can make the most plays in the fourth quarter.

Cowboys @ Giants: If you followed the Giants season last year before the playoff run, you would understand just how important this game is. New York was less then five minutes away from completely missing the playoffs in Dallas. The Giants trailed by two touchdowns and the amazing plays by Manning, Cruz and Jason Pierre Paul saved New York's playoff hopes. On that same hand, Tony Romo had a chance to seal the win on 3rd and long and he over threw to a wide-open Miles Austin while trying to run out the clock. This game could not only affect the NFC, but the NFL come playoff time. The Cowboys have added the best free agent and college CB this offseason to assure no more blown fourth quarter leads. It’s the defending champs vs. one of the most improved teams in the league.

Bills @ Jets: This game could be a deciding factor in the AFC wild card race. The Bills quite possibly have the best pass rushing team in the AFC. Don’t down play the additions the Bills made this year, the Giants showed us what a strong pass rush could do for a team. The Jets hit a slump last year falling to 8-8, but in the last three years they still have six playoff games under their belt. I wouldn’t write either of these teams off and one of them will definitely be in the playoffs. This game should be a brawl from start to finish, and both QB’s should expect to leave this one beat up. The difference in this game will likely end up being which team can protect their QB.

Stay tuned for my week one prediction’s some of my picks may shock you.
