Waiting For Next Year:
According to a team spokesperson, Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert is not at the combine due to an illness. The combine runs through next Tuesday.
Heckert was also supposed to appear at the Browns pre-combine press conference yesterday, but was unable to attend due to said illness. He was also unable to attend the recently played Senior Bowl.
Without speculating too much, this would have to be more than the flu to keep Heckert away for the entire week. Per the spokesman, the illness is said to be non-life threatening. Browns head coach Pat Shurmur will meet with the media at 4pm today.

It wasn't a secret a season ago the Browns right-side of the offensive line struggled. In wasting little time at the Combine on Thursday, the Browns converged on Ohio State tackle Mike Adams.
After what would take a trade to get to the second-overall spot in the upcoming NFL Draft, Sports Illustrated’s Don Banks forecasts the Cleveland Browns will leave the first night of festivities with Baylor’s quarterback Robert Griffin III.
When all is said and done, Griffin will be going in this slot to someone, and the Browns still make the most sense in terms of...

We don’t know who will take snaps at quarterback for the Browns next year. We do know who will call the plays: The same guy that called them last year.
