Waiting For Next Year:
The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed WR Carlton Mitchell.
Mitchell you will remember was drafted by the Browns, but injuries and ineffectiveness kept him off the field and on the practice squad. He was always nice to us here at WFNY, and a great follow on twitter. We sincerely wish him the best.

Like we did last year before it became fashionable, we’ll take a seat each week in our very own WFNY Browns film room and break down a little tape from the game, with a specific focus. Do enjoy.
The Browns did something really positive in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, and I wanted to focus on that this week. The defense was able to sack Romo seven times. That’s a nice number...
WESTLAKE, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns office of vice president Bryan Wiedmeier is never cluttered. A binder always sits within arms reach on his gleaming desk.
That binder is Wiedmeiers work, studied and distilled to its essence. Anyone who works with or for him asks a question and hell go to a tab and find the answer. Little fazes him, and when something at all controversial is...
BEREA -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have the Terrible Towel.
This Sunday the Cleveland Browns will have the white flags.
The Browns announced on Wednesday on the teams Official Cleveland Browns Facebook page that fans who attend the game against the Steelers will receive an inflatable flag, which just happen to be white. Though it does have the orange helmet on it.
As if the Browns weren't enough of an embarrassment to the people of Cleveland, their latest idea is even is worse than usual. Pictures above, someone thought it'd be a good idea to hand out these white flags at this week's game against the rival Steelers. Maybe they don't know the universal meaning of "waiving the white flag"....
The 2-8 Cleveland Browns have simply been terrible this season. And this fact seems to extend all the way down from the players on the field up to their marketing department. Here's an example. The Browns are hosting the 6-4 Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday and all fans in attendance are slated to receive a white flag as part of a promotion with The NFL Ticket Exchange. Yes, a...
1) Somebody somewhere had to sign off on the latest promotion at Browns Stadium, which has the home team giving away inflatable flags sponsored by Ticketmaster, which are white. Yes, thats correct. The home team has a sponsorpartner giving away white flags for a Browns-Steelers game. This is almost too rich for words. Asking fans to wave white inflatable flags (with the Browns helmet...
Browns penalties must be hysterical to Ed Hochuli’s crew
I have a tough time explaining why my frustration levels fluctuate so much throughout a Browns season. Some weeks as the Browns lose, it barely registers on the imaginary frustrate-o-meter in my house. I kind of shrug my shoulders, write about the Browns game on Sunday and just move along with my week. Then other weeks I’m...
It isn’t often that a move up from last place on our ranks gets you the lead story, but it isn’t often that the loss of a starting quarterback allows for an offensive rebirth, either. For the first time this season we have a new low man on the totem pole; after a week 11 …
Welcome to the latest edition of X’s and O’s with the Bros by X’s and O’s editor @rodofdisaster. This feature represents a basic attempt to look deeper into the game of football, learn something about the X’s and O’s that make it go, and better appreciate the games within the game. It’s called “X’s and O’s with the Bros: because you don’t have to be a player...
A BUNCH OF MALARKEY?
Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said that if quarterback Chad Henne performs well over the remaining games this season, he will be the presumed starter heading into 2013.
Jacoby Jones scorched them with a big return last week, and with Josh Cribbs coming up Mike Prisuta digs into what the Steelers have learned in the meantime.
Cecil Shorts has turned into a reliable fantasy wide receiver.
Here is a list of 20 fantasy football players that should do well and should be in your lineup for week 12 of the fantasy football season.
Doug Martin TB RB
He’s overtaken Arian Foster as the #1 scoring RB in the league. Should hold the line against the Falcons 27th ranked run defense.
