The Kansas City Chiefs made 21 transactions on Friday in order to adjust their roster in order to reach the 53-man limit imposed by NFL rules. Seventeen players were waived, two veteran players were released and two players were placed on the injured reserve list. QB Alex Tanney and DB De’Quan Menzie were placed in the IR list. Tanney is known as the ‘Trick Shot Quarterback’ and gained viral video fame on YouTube.
Two vested veteran players had their contract terminated. LB Leon Williams and DL Amon Gordon are now free to sign with any other NFL franchise and will not have to pass through the waiver process.
Starting at noon EST on Saturday, the Chiefs can sign any player which has cleared through waivers and fill their eight player practice squad.

Quinn shows many errors in preseason finale
What makes evaluating backup quarterbacks in preseason so challenging is that they rarely get to play with the first-team offense.
But that wasn't the case Thursday for Brady Quinn, recently anointed the Chiefs' No. 2 quarterback. Quinn got the chance to play with the Chiefs' first string, albeit briefly, in the team's final preseason game at Green Bay.
