The Kansas City Chiefs made 21 transactions on Friday in order to adjust their roster in order to reach the 53-man limit imposed by NFL rules. Seventeen players were waived, two veteran players were released and two players were placed on the injured reserve list. QB Alex Tanney and DB De’Quan Menzie were placed in the IR list. Tanney is known as the ‘Trick Shot Quarterback’ and gained viral video fame on YouTube.

But that wasn't the case Thursday for Brady Quinn, recently anointed the Chiefs' No. 2 quarterback. Quinn got the chance to play with the Chiefs' first string, albeit briefly, in the team's final preseason game at Green Bay.
Peyton Hillis had his 15 minutes of fame in 2010 when he was one of the top rushers in the NFL. However, he had an injury plagued 2011 and Cleveland decided to move on from the bruising, but often injured back. He didn’t help his cause by acting like a prima donna in Cleveland after his lone break out season. On March 14, 2012, Hillis signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Hillis...
Kansas City Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis told Fox Sports Radio Daybreak via SportsRadioInterviews.com that this team might be the best team he’s ever played for.
“With Matt (Cassel), he has made extraordinary leaps since he has been in this offense. He was in this offense when he was in New England and it kind of just carried over. He’s looked very poised the last...
Already missing Tamba Hali for the opener with suspension, this is not what the Chiefs wanted to hear. According to the Kansas City Star, the ankle injury suffered by Derrick Johnson in the Chiefs’ preseason finale “could be significant” and he could be “doubtful” for week 1. It’s head scratching why Johnson was even out there in a game normally reserved for well…reserves...
The NFL season is always loaded with upsets and week one will be no exception as the Kansas City Chiefs will upset the Atlanta Falcons.
