This week in the NFL we saw some surprising victories and some blowouts. Going on my eyeball test, here are my Conference Top 5 power rankings this week. You know that Arian Foster and the Texas are the #1 team in the AFC. Which nine teams fill out the rest of Trevor’s Conference Top 5 Power Rankings? (Photo by Thomas B. Shea/Getty Images) NFC Top 5 5. Seattle Seahawks I had the New York Giants here last week, and I Was torn whether to leave them here or not after a stinker against the Bengals. Their running game is suffering and Eli Manning is in a funk. The usually impressive receiving corps led by Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks has become invisible the past two weeks. So my other team I want to put here in the NFC is MY Seattle Seahawks. I make no excuses, I am a homer. But here’s why I will put them ahead of the Giants. The Seahawks defense is brutal. They hit you hard and they hit you often. Not only do the defensive players play tough, even the offensive guys do. Golden Tate ha...

Luv Ya Steel Blue: Texans Secession

With Patrick on the PUP list, Mike and Aaron call friend of the show, TXCleaver, up from the practice squad where they discuss the Texans declaring secession from the rest of the AFC with a dominating defensive performance against the Bears on Sunday Night Football. Digging Deep: Chicago Edition

The Texans moved to 8-1, tying the Atlanta Falcons for the best record in the NFL, with their sloppy 13-6 win over the previously 7-1 Chicago Bears. While it was not a pretty game by any means, the Texans went into Chicago and beat the Bears outdoors in bad conditions. The statistics for this game may not look very impressive, but this game was more about toughness and making big...

Texans 13, Bears 6

CHICAGO -- The Houston Texans got a diving catch by Arian Foster in the second quarter for the game's only touchdown, and they held on to beat the Chicago Bears 13-6 Sunday night in a steady rain. Houston Texans Bully Chicago Bears In 13-6 Slugfest: 5 Things We Learned

The Houston Texans (8-1) walked away from Chicago Sunday night with a 13-6 victory over the Chicago Bears (7-2) at Soldier Field.  It was not the prettiest of games due to the rainy and windy weather conditions, and the poor field conditions of Soldier Field.  It rained for quite a bit before this game even started.  Both teams came ino this game with equal 7-1 records, and with...

Texans-Bears Live Blog, Second Half

We’ve already had a tie today and now a wild turnoverkkake approaches. Six takeaways overall in the first half. Not until late in the half did the Texans become the first to put together a sustained scoring drive not set up by a takeaway. The defenses were unyielding for most of the half, but Houston has now gotten its ground game going, with Arian Foster now at 70 yards on 14...
