Wow! What a weekend of pro football to kickoff Rocktober. Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos had to hit 50-plus again for a victory, but how strong is the Orange Crush? Jack Del Rio’s defense remains incredibly suspect against the pass. Elsewhere, Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints pushed through the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. And if there’s an offense capable of matching Manning, Brees and co. are that group (see: Super Bowl XLIV). Then there are the Kansas City Chiefs. Having already gone double past their win total from 2012, K.C. is one dangerous team for any explosive offense. The perfect “Chefs” are deserving of their top five-ranking. So let’s keep it moving and check out our NFL Power Rankings for Week 6.   1. Denver Broncos 5-0, (last week: 2) Denver prevailed in its toughest test yet. The downside is that its defense remains vulnerable and the Cowboys – who dropped 48 points on them this week – are the best team in pro football’s weakest division. 2. New Orleans...

Peyton Manning has 19 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in 4 1/2 games

Peyton Manning is a machine folks, the guy now has 19 touchdowns in just 4 1/2 games. Manning even rushed for a touchdown today. The last rushing touchdown of his was 62 games ago when he was a Colt. He is the best quarterback to ever play the game. If you have an opportunity to […]

Peyton Manning fools entire Cowboys D and jogs in for a rushing touchdown (GIF)

While everyone on the  Dallas Cowboys defense piled on Knowshon Moreno at the goal line, Peyton Manning faked out everyone by moseying in for his first rushing touchdown in five years. Manning already had three TD passes in the first half and — after this third-and-goal jog — the Broncos quarterback even did a little fist pump as he crossed the goal line. Omaha!

Jaguars are record 28.5-point underdog vs. Broncos

What happens when two teams that are going in completely opposite directions meet up on Sunday? The biggest point spread in NFL history. Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars exchange barbs on Twitter

The Denver Broncos are starting to remind people of the 2007 New England Patriots. After hanging 51 points on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Peyton Manning and company are now averaging an incredible 46 points per game. The Patriots were “only” averaging 36 points per game after five games in ’07. Things get much easier […]

Jags aren't happy about the Broncos picking on them

The 5-0 Denver Broncos have already been installed as 28 point favorites over the 0-5 Jacksonville Jaguars next week in what will be the largest point spread (and biggest mismatch) in NFL history.  The Broncos may score 12 touchdowns before the Jaguars complete a forward pass.  It's going to be such a blowout, it'll make Ohio State vs Florida A&M look like an instant...

Broncos biggest NFL favorite ever in Vegas books

The Denver Broncos are the biggest favorite ever in an NFL game, a whopping four-touchdown pick Sunday at home against the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars. Sports books in and around Las Vegas make Peyton Manning and the Broncos a 28-point favorite over Jacksonville. That's unheard of in an industry where half-point swings can be huge and most teams are rated within a few points...

Colts find themselves back on top of AFC South

Indianapolis won seven of the first nine AFC South titles. Now, the Colts are back on top of the division. For the first time in the post-Peyton Manning era, Indianapolis (4-1) has taken sole possession of the division lead - one game ahead of Tennessee and two ahead of two-time defending division champ Houston with no intention of giving it up. The Colts are one of four NFL teams...

Denver Bronco indirectly remind us just how much the Jaguars suck this season

Tweet In case you haven’t been paying attention, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos offense has looked like something out of a game of Madden over the first five weeks of the season. John Elway: Broncos win over the Cowboys was a ‘confidence builder’

Denver Broncos Executive vice president of football operations John Elway says the Denver Broncos 51-48 win against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday was a “confidence builder.” The win was the narrowest margin of victory so far this season for the 5-0 Broncos. “If you look at the first four
