Minus Williams, the Rams do defense by committee

The St. Louis Rams have opened their two-day minicamp doing defense by committee. The team is without Gregg Williams, the team's defensive coordinator who has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his role in the bounties program during his time with the New Orleans Saints. Coach Jeff Fisher said the remaining staff has been efficient picking up the slack for Williams...

Williams helps with tornado cleanup

While Gregg Williams' name may be mud in NFL circles, a couple in Kansas knows him only as the Good Samaritan who came to its aid in the wake of the weekend's devastating tornado. Scott Lyon admitted to KSN-TV he had no idea who Williams was when he arrived uninvited in a pickup truck with a friend to offer their services clearing debris from the homeowner's damaged...

Source: NFLPA aware of Williams speech

The public release earlier this month of the infamous audio of former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams ordering his players to injure their 49er opponents before last season's playoff game reportedly came as no surprise to the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). The NFLPA already had "detailed knowledge" of the video and audio before independent...

Gregg Williams should be banned for life

Much has been deservedly made about the indefinite suspension of now St. Louis Rams Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams. Williams knowingly compromised the health of the opposition in an already dangerous sport. While high contact and injuries are always part of the game, purposely desiring (with rewards) to cause life altering suffering over a sport in the grand scheme...

4 New Players Sue NFL over concussions – cite bounty scandal as evidence of NFL culture

We knew this was coming. Four more players are now suing the NFL accusing it of neglect regarding concussions. From the Washington Post: “There is nothing new or unique about what Gregg Williams said. Although the NFL has now punished Williams and the Saints, for almost its entire history the NFL glorified violent hits,” said the complaint. “It encouraged its players to think...

Ejected NFL Fans To Pay Reinstatement Fee, Pass Online Test For Readmission

It's common for the NFL to make rule changes before the start of a new season. Typically, commissioner Roger Goodell will make an announcement and a disgruntled player will tweet out his feelings on the matter. This offseason however, there's a new rule that may irk those watching the games, not playing in them. According to the New York Post, the NFL will require ejected...

The NFL Is Giving A-Hole Fans A Second Chance

Some Raiders fans are really quite pleasant. For the past two years, the NFL has apparently been sending undercover rival fans into stadiums to goad home fans into starting fights so Roger Goodell and his army of peacekeepers could weed out the sh*tty fans. Somewhere Bryan Stow’s family is like, “WTF Bud Selig?” The fans that were busted picking fights and acting a fool, as...

NFL Bounties- An editorial

NFL Bounties- An editorial By Eric Judd The NFL is the greatest sport, in the greatest country, in all the world. Seemingly impossible, the NFL just gets stronger year by year, with a widening fan base, slowing creeping into countries, both near and far. It seems impossible that someone, anyone would dare to jeopardize the cornucopia that is the National Football League. A money...
