According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns will start Brian Hoyer at quarterback again on Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills. Brian Hoyer will start again for Browns on Thursday night. Hoyer is 2-0 while starting for injured Brandon Weeden. (via @AdamSchefter) — SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) September 30, 2013 This would not be a big surprise, as Brandon Weeden just started throwing the football at the end of last week as he recovers from a sprained thumb. It also wouldn’t be a surprise because the Browns offense has come to life the last two weeks while Hoyer was under center. In his two games this season, Hoyer is 55 of 92 (59.8%) for 590 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. (All of the interceptions were against the Vikings.) Weeden in the first two games of the season was 47 of 86 (54.7%) for 516 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions. (All interceptions were week one against the Dolphins.) Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns: 2013 Week 5 NFL Pick

Buffalo Bills (2-2) at Cleveland Browns (2-2) The Browns have somehow vaulted to the top of the AFC North two weeks after losing Brandon Weeden to injury and trading Trent Richardson to the Colts. While it’s not a surprise that they wouldn’t miss Brandon Weeden that much, I don’t think anyone was expecting Brian Hoyer to play well enough to mask the loss of Trent Richardson...
