NFL Injury Report:
Trade talks between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York
Jets involving cornerback Darrelle Revis have cooled over the past few weeks.
However, with the 2013 NFL Draft upcoming, Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune
believes trade talk will pick up again.
The Bucs have expressed interest in Revis, and they’ve
emerged as one of the only teams that will give the cornerback the long-term
contract he’s currently seeking. However, in exchange for Revis, the Jets are
targeting Tampa’s first-round pick this spring – No. 13 overall. The Bucs would
rather send New York a conditional first rounder for the 2014 draft.
******* believes the Bucs and Jets could complete a trade
for Revis once draft night rolls around. If the Bucs are unsatisfied with the
selection available at No. 13, they could then trade their pick to New York. However, they could also elect to trade back in the draft and ship some of the
picks they acquire to the Jets.
Whatever the case, there is belief that the Bucs want Revis,
and they’ve yet to sign a cornerback this offseason. It appears that this is
far from over.

According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, it’s “inevitable” that CB Darrelle Revis ends up on the Buccaneers at some point this offseason.
King adds that Jets owner Woody Johnson is “categorically against” extending Revis’ contract beyond this season.

With Matt Slauson recently signing with the Chicago Bears and the impending departure of Brandon Moore, it is becoming more and more likely that New York Jets free agent signing Willie Colon will be a starter at one of the Guard spots. Colon was signed to a one year, $1.2 million dollar deal, the right price for a guy who has played only 12 games in the past 3 years.
According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to remain on the New York Jets’ roster through the NFL draft.
The funny thing is that the Jets are still looking for a trade partner for Tebow. But the odds of that look very slim right now. I would honestly be shocked if Tebow is in the NFL in 2013.
At the end of the day, I think the only way Tebow...

The NFL’s “Offseason” is a bit of a misnomer – for any given team’s front office, at least. For owners and managers, the months between February and August comprise the busy season. The NFL is a business, just like any other, so managers and owners spend this time sifting through scouting reports and financial statements, all while analyzing the utility of prospective player...

The Jets are fighting to stay on top of their division while the Isles are clawing up the ladder in theirs. This is a must win game for two teams that may be a little weary from playing last night.
