From Adrian Peterson, Trent Richardson and Stephen Hill to Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson, we thought we knew what was going to happen during Week 1 of the NFL season. The first Sunday of the NFL season has finally come and gone. While many of us believed we knew what was going to happen, the results were normal for the first week, completely off from what we thought. We thought: Adrian Peterson might not be ready to play Silly us, Peterson told us to take him in Fantasy Football and now we know why. He rushed 17 times for 84 yards, scoring twice as the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL’s first regular season overtime game using the new rules. In less than eight months recovery Peterson has shown he is ready to once again, run over whoever stands in his way. We thought: Trent Richardson would make a difference in Cleveland Trent Richardson wants to be the greatest runner of all-time, but before he is announced that, he must average more than a dismal 2.1 yards per carry. He carried 19 times for only 39 yards against a stout Eagles defense. Brandon Weeden and his inability to throw the ball (12-35, 118 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTS) or create any type of offensive rhythm didn’t help Richardson’s chances.
