Jack Del Rio and the Jacksonville Jaguars started off their year by releasing their starter, veteran QB David Garrard. Most teams keep a veteran QB on their roster when they draft a young quarterback so the young QB can sit back and learn for the wiley veteran. The Jags decided to throw Blaine Gabbert into the fire but the problem was he never found his way out. Statistically the Jags were 12th in rushing, 8th in pass D, 9th in run D, but a league last 32nd in passing offense. This horrific passing attack led to a 5-11 record and a new head coach. If they had let David Garrard start the whole season and have Blaine Gabbert take notes the whole year much like when Carson Palmer was drafted by the Bengals, this franchise could be in a very promising situation.
Most Athletic - Marcedes Lewis TE
Marcedes Lewis came into the year in the best shape of his life, shredded, fast, quick, and ready to dominate. Slowed by a rookie QB and nagging injuries, Lewis finished his disappointing yea...

Mike Mularkey is Boring as HELL…and That’s What the Jaguars Need
Source: NFL.com
As I watched the press conferences on Jaguars.com announcing Mike Mularkey as the Jaguars’ new head coach, the third head coach in team history, I was struck by how incredibly bland this man is. His posture – rigid. His voice – unaffected. His words – about as much flavor as a balsa wood sandwich on stale rye bread. Shad Khan and Gene Smith...
Jacksonville Jaguars Keep Mel Tucker, Hire Offensive Coordinator
New Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has wasted no time in finding his coordinators.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Mel Tucker has agreed to remain in Jacksonville as defensive coordinator and Falcons quarterbacks coach Bob Bratkowski has agreed to be the Jaguars new offensive coordinator.
Tucker turned down an offer to be the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota...
Russ Grimm Could End Up with the Jaguars
Arizona Cardinals offensive line coach/offensive assistant Russ Grimm’s contract expires at the end of the end of this season and he could end up leaving for Jacksonville.
Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network has reported that there are several teams interested in Grimm’s services for next season.
Grimm has been Cardinals head coach Ken Wisenhunt since their days with...
Jaguars' Coaching Staff Taking Shape
A week ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars were in a serious state of flux. They had no head coach, no offensive coordinator, their star defensive coordinator, Mel Tucker, was looking elsewhere for work, and their entire coaching staff was without contracts. Oh what a difference a week makes in the NFL.
Earlier in the week, the Jaguars announced Mike Mularkey as their 3rd head coach (not...
In good hands
What happens if Justin Blackmon has already been drafted by the time the Jacksonville Jaguars are up with the 7th pick? I say the Jaguars stick with the plan of going BAR (best available receiver) in the first round. If Blackmon is gone then they should draft Alshon Jeffery out of South Carolina. Alshon has all the tools the Jaguars need in a top receiver. He has great size...
Jags name Bratkowski offensive coordinator
The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Bob Bratkowski as offensive coordinator, new head coach Mike Mularkey said Friday.
Jaguars keep DC Tucker, hire OC Bratkowski
The Jacksonville Jaguars have retained defensive coordinator Mel Tucker and hired Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Bob Bratkowski as offensive coordinator.
Vikings, Cowboys, Jags Facing Change
The Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars have locked horns over an unlikely issue: both teams would like to have Mel Tucker as their defensive coordinator and Tucker’s current contractual situation is a little bit unclear. Tucker was the Jags defensive coordinator, but his contract expired and he is no longer legally tied to Jacksonville. The Vikings are apparently interested...
