60 Max Power O:
Seattle Seahawks rookie QB Russell Wilson got his chance to start against the Kansas City Chiefs, and shall we say, he did not waste his opportunity.
Wilson shredded the Chiefs' defense for 185 yard and 2 TDs on their way to a 44-14 victory. The surprising Seahawks are undefeated in the preseason, with wins against the Titans, Broncos and now the Chiefs.
He completed 13 of 19 passes for 185 yards, averaging 9.7 yards per pass, and made quite a case for himself to emerge as the starter. Per head coach Pete Caroll ont eh team's website:
“He’s done everything we’ve asked him. When John (Schneider, the GM) was excited about drafting him and we got the momentum going to make that pick, this is guy we hoped that he would be.”
And Wilson sounds as focused as he can be:
“I just try to relax as much as I can – relax my mind, just play football. I prepare myself in every way possible. I get there early. I leave late. I try to always mentally prepare myself and visualize being successful.”
QB Tarvaris Jackson also saw the field, but Matt Flynn did not due to a sore elbow. With trade reports still circulating about Jackson and with Flynn's injury, we'll most likely see Wilson starting in their final preseason game, and maybe beyond.

CREEPLESS IN SEATTLE?
According to a Seahawks beat writer, Terrell Owens could be on the outs and that his unproductive play and diva behavior might be his one-way ticket out of town.
The Seattle Seahawks enter their 2012 campaign with a mixed bag of expectations, depending of course on who you speak to, or which experts like their chances, and which ones do not.
With one of the more difficult schedules (11thNFL, 7th NFC), Seattle absolutely will have their hands full this year. They have no “circled wins”, no cupcake games to get their confidence up and get...
There's been a lot of talk this offseason about the rookie quarterbacks of this Draft.Andrew Luck looks like Peyton Manning already, and RGIII is bringing excitement back to the nation's capitol. We've even heard buzz around Brandon Weeden in Cleveland, mainly because he is older than Aaron Rodgers and hasn't played a meaningful down in the NFL yet. But on the West...

I thank the organization for the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief." - @TerrellOwens via TwitterAt approximately 11:00 (PT) Terrell Owens tweeted the news about his release from the Seattle Seahawks' roster. In what was possibly his last run in the NFL, Terrell had nothing more than an average performance throughout the 2012...
Seahawks rookie quarterback, Russell Wilson, started the team's third preseason game and was impressive, going 13-of-19 for 185 yards and two touchdowns.Fantasy Spin:Wilson has made a good case for himself as the team's starting quarterback and coach Pete Carroll will have a tough decision to make. The other option, Matt Flynn, didn't play due to an elbow injury and hasn...
With the 2012 season just around the corner, Seattle has yet to pick a starting quarterback for the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals haven’t named a starter either, I might add. For Seattle, what once was a three person battle between Tarvaris Jackson, Matt Flynn, and Russell Wilson, is now a two man battle between the newcomers. Flynn and Wilson have...
Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson staked his claim to the starting job in Seattle on Friday night, throwing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while leading the Seahawks to a 44-14 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson has been competing for the job with Matt Flynn, who was held out of the game with a sore elbow, and he got a lot of help from the rest of the Seahawks.
Newly named Rutgers starting quarterback Gary Nova knows what it is like to win. Recording an undefeated record in two years as the starter at Don Bosco Prep High School (N.J.), Nova understands the importance of performing in the spotlight. He just has not had that opportunity yet with Rutgers.

The first wave of NFL roster cuts is happening today around the NFL and we now know who has a free pass to the 4th and final preseason game vs. the Raiders.
Things are a little rough around the VMAC today no doubt with new and old teammates saying good-bye to each other in the Seahawks locker room.
