PLAYERS: Nick Toon
TEAMS: New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints selected wide receiver Nick Toon in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Fantasy Spin: Toon is smooth as silk as a route runner with sharp instincts and reliable hands. He comes from good stock as his father was Jets star Al Toon, and he projects as a good fit in the Saints aerial attack, and will cushion the loss of Robert Meachem. Strong fantasy upside here, and is worth scooping up in keeper leagues after the higher-profile prospects are off the board.

Saints Nation: Saints Roster Looking Thin at CB and TE

After the draft and rookie free agency, the Saints' roster stands at around 90 (the limit) and I feel pretty good about how rounded out it is. Obviously the Saints need to get Drew Brees under contract but I'll reiterate once again that I don't think this will happen until the player suspensions get announced. I feel like the Saints are stacked fairly evenly at most positions...

Saints Nation; Grading the Saints' Draft

The New Orleans Saints entered the 2012 NFL draft with little need for immediate starters on either offense or defense, however, the want was there for the Saints to shore up several spots on both sides of the ball with much needed depth. Tight end, defensive tackle, and cornerback were the three positions that required the most depth while every position along the offensive line...

Hummel will continue to be involved in the investigation until June and report to Jeff Miller, the chief security officer who has led the process that has resulted...

Saints Will Let Best Vitt Fill-In 'Reveal Itself'

GM Mickey Loomis hinted at a press conference on Day One of the draft that the candidates considered the most likely to fill in for interim head coach Joe Vitt during his six-game suspension — Pete Carmichael, Steve Spagnuolo or Aaron Kromer — are not the only ones he might consider for the job. “We have a lot of good candidates on our staff, the ones who have been mentioned and...

The Amar’e Stoudamire fire extinguisher t-shirt has arrived

It never surprises us how quickly a t-shirt company capitalizes on the goings on in the world of sports. Back in March, “Free Sean Payton” t-shirts popped up all over web a day after Sean Payton was suspended for the season. And now, a day after Amar’e Stoudamire cut his hand punching a fire extinguisher casing, Crosstown New York has produced a t-shirt for Knicks fans to wear...

Undrafted Free Agent Additions-New Orleans Saints

The 2012 NFL Draft is now in the books. At the conclusion of the draft, teams are permitted to sign undrafted players to contracts. As the NFL increased the off-season rosters from 80 to 90 players, more undrafted players will be selected this season. The New Orleans Saints, making up for a lack of draft picks, signed 18 undrafted players to contracts this year. The Saints selected...
