Safety Dashon Goldson agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal to return to the 49ers, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Goldson has started the last 32 games at free safety for the 49ers. After Whitner signed, it was thought to be a long-shot that Goldson would return to the 49ers. Goldson spent Sunday in New England visiting with the Patriots.
