It’s been 21 days since the Philadelphia Eagles 2011 season ended on a high note after winning their last four games, but still missing the playoffs for just the third time in the Andy Reid era.
In the days following the 34-10 season finale win over division rival Washington Redskins, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie held a press conference and stated that the type of performance his team produced in 2011 was a disappointment, and that it won’t be tolerated. Even though Lurie did state Reid would return as the head coach next season, his statements led fans to believe that the message was heard loud and clear, and that changes in the coaching staff were forthcoming — or so we thought.
