As the week passes “hump day” the NFL pre season schedule comes back on to the television screen with a couple of games, both beginning at 8 p.m. EST and one being televised nationally on Fox. And even with just two games on tap there is plenty of carolina blue in the mix as each squad on the field tonight dons one former North Carolina football player on its roster. Even better if you are a UNC fan is that all four of the players are slated as first string players for the 2012 season. Using the list on the UNC Pros web site and the team rosters from OurLads, as well as adding a bit of information on my own, here are all the players that once called Chapel Hill home that their NFL teams will be playing today…

And there you have it, the two games and four former Tar Heels now in the National Football League which will be on the gridiron tonight. Make sure to come back each day to see which other former UNC player will be on the field in the following days as the NFL has six games for tomorrow and Saturday and one a piece for Sunday and Monday. And of course, for all information when it comes to the Carolina football and/or basketball (present and past) make sure to check back on isportsweb! Also make sure to check out the isportsweb coverage of the NFL here.
