It appears that the QB job in San Francisco is all but decided, as the 49?ers are going to pull a stunner and give the job to former Lions QB J.T. O'Sullivan.  Coach Mike Nolan said on Monday that O'Sullivan will start his third straight exhibition game this week vs the Bears, and that decision all but clinches him as the teams opening day starter vs the Cardinals. "We have a very short week," he said. "I don't want to mess with things right now. I think it's best that we keep our focus on the Bears. It's important for a lot of guys to play well in this game."  In other words, get ready for O'Sullivan to be the teams starter, and for Alex Smith and Shaun Hill to be the teams backups. Saturday night vs the Pack, O'Sullivan threw for 154 yards and a 59-yard TD in his second start.  He reportedly showed during that performance, which also included a pick, enough to clinch the position at least for opening day.  The fact that O'Sullivan was more apt from day one to Mike Martz's system when he was in Detroit seemed to play a lot into the decision that will eventually come out that will make him the opening day starter.
