The Oakland Raiders have signed third round NFL Draft selection Tony Bergstrom just in time for training camp. The Raiders will report to Napa, California today and begin training camp practice on Monday. Agreeing on a deal with Bergstrom ensures he will be at camp on time.

Without a first or second round 2012 NFL Draft choice, Bergstrom was the first of six Raiders selections at 95th overall in the third round. The 6-5, 315 pound offensive lineman started 39 career games at Utah mostly at right tackle. For the Raiders, Bergstrom is slated to move inside to guard and compete with Cooper Carlisle for the starting left guard spot. Even if Bergstrom does not win the position battle, he will be counted on to provide depth at guard and possibly right tackle in emergency situations.

Despite the lengthy process to get Bergstrom signed, it is important that he is in camp on time. For a rookie that the Raiders will be counting on to contribute this season, Bergstrom will not miss any valuable practice time in training camp. He will go through the full training camp and have the chance to develop.

With Bergstrom inked, fifth round 2012 NFL Draft selection Juron Criner is the only Raiders rookie unsigned. Criner is currently fourth on the Raiders wide receiver depth chart and has impressed during offseason workouts.
