Redskins’ John Beck still not counting himself out

The season didn’t go anything like quarterback John Beck had envisioned. He, like all of his teammates, wishes he could have a do-over. But even though he opened the season as the backup, went winless in three mid-season starts and wound up on the bench again, Beck remains confident that his best football remains ahead of him. For a second straight season, linebacker/special teams player Lorenzo Alexander has been picked as the Washington Redskins’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. The award recognizes players for work in their communities as well as excellence on the playing field. Jammal Brown’s future hinges on offseason rehab

When the Washington Redskins re-signed right tackle Jammal Brown in July to a five-year deal worth $20.25 million, the hope was that two years removed from hip surgery, he would regain the form that made him a Pro Bowl player in 2006 and 2008 with the New Orleans Saints. But it quickly became apparent that Brown still hadn’t fully recovered, and he remained hobbled for a second...

Neild Relishes Mountaineers’ Bowl Victory

AP Image The 2012 NFL schedule is still months away, but with this week’s release of the 2012 opponents, it’s time for a premature analysis of the field. The 5-11 record won’t suggest it, but the NFC East opponents were supposed to have it easy this year, matching up against the NFC West and the AFC East.  As a reminder, no team had a winning record in the NFC West in 2010...
