PCJS Make Their Moves The roster is set. The cuts have been made. Per the Seahawks.com twitter account we’ve learned the following players have been released, Michael Robinson, Jaye Howard, Antoine Winfield, Brady Quinn, Darren Fells, Phil Bates, Michael Brooks, Dewayne Cherrington, Arceto Clark, Darren Fells, Winston Guy, Chris Harper, Cooper Helfet, Jaye Howard, Rishaw Johnson, Sean McGrath, Ron Parker, Ty Powell, Ryan Seymour, DeShawn Shead. Sealver Siliga, Smith, Bryan Walters. Terminate contracts of Clinton McDonald, Michael Robinson, Brady Quinn, & Antoine Winfield. The Seahawks projections were fun. The preseason was not.  The team trimmed the roster down from 90 to 53 in the last 10 days. We nailed quite a few in our Seahawks roster predictions Part 1 & Part 2. We of course got a few wrong. Once players clear waivers tomorrow, teams can form an eight-man practice squad. They had to get it done by 6 pm pacific time. We also learned today the Hawks acquired a DT. They’ve confirmed trade to Jacksonville to  acquire DT D’Anthony Smith for undisclosed future draft choice, pending physical. #Seahawks traded for D’Anthony Smith from #Jaguars. — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 31, 2013   As always there will be a guy placed on the suspended list between now and next Sunday, a new guy will land on IR I’m sure. Such is the life of tracking an NFL roster. In PCJS we Trust. There will more than likely be players acquired or a trade by the time this post has been live for 4 minutes. It’s not play time anymore I just hope Pete Carroll and John Schneider have the best team below. That’s all that matters to me. Here we go. Quarterbacks (2): Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson  Running backs (5): Tailbacks — Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin, Christine Michael, Spencer Ware, Derrick Coleman (FB)  Wide receivers (5): Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Stephen Williams Tight ends (2): Zach Miller,  Luke Willson Offensive line (10): Russell Okung, Paul McQuistan, Max Unger, Breno Giacomini, J.R. Sweezy, Lemuel Jeanpierre, James Carpenter,  Alvin Bailey, Michael Bowie, Mike Person Defensive line (9): Chris Clemons, Brandon Mebane, Red Bryant, Jordan Hill, Tony McDaniel, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Benson Mayowa, D’Anthony Smith Linebackers (8): K.J. Wright, Bobby Wagner, Mike Morgan, Malcolm Smith, O’Brien Schofield, Heath Farwell, John Lotulelei, Allen Bradford Defensive backs (9): Brandon Browner, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Walter Thurmond, Byron Maxwell, Jeron Johnson, Jeremy Lane, Chris Maragos. Specialists (3) P Jon Ryan, K Steven Hauschka, LS Clint Gresham. Link to the updated official roster at seahawks.com We’ll keep you updated if there are any more player moves made by the Seahawks. Here’s the official Seahawks PR on the roster… Let the Debate Commence The Seattle Seahawks next game is versus the Carolina Panthers in 8 days. Personally I can’t wait, but getting the roster right is just as fun. I love watching fans and bloggers and my fellow twitterers arguing and debating who the Seahawks 5th and 6th WR’s should be, and who the Hawks should carry as a 10th offensive lineman. Good times! It’s quite humorous. Anyways, I digress, check back tomorrow to see the OFFICIAL 53 man roster as of tomorrow Saturday September 1st 2013.  (I expect it to change every day until they play the Panthers) Reason #243 why I love Pete Carroll and John Schneider. They are never satisfied. Win forever! CLICK HERE CHECK OUT THE SEAHAWKS BLOG IN OUR CLUBHOUSE AT NWSB!
