At the time the signing was questioned as Carolina already had veteran kicker John Kasay. While Kasay hasn’t exactly been perfect in New Orleans, the feeling is that he would have made the two kicks that Mare missed. Nevertheless, Mare and his bloated contract are on the roster at this moment, but should the Panthers admit their mistake and move on? … [visit site to read more] Olindo Mare: What Should the Panthers Do With the Struggling Kicker? - Cat Crave - Cat Crave - A Carolina Panthers Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

Panthers WR Steve Smith isn't a Tim Tebow believer, saying the defense deserves more credit than it's been receiving, and that Tebow wouldn't make his son's flag football team.

If Jordan Gross doesn’t play…

With Jordan Gross listed as questionable due to an ankle injury, the cynical worst-case thoughts are spinning inside of me. What if our best offensive lineman isn’t good to go on Sunday against a formidable foe? Gross, is a tough guy and will most likely play, but the impact that the team- mainly Cam Newton- will feel if he does not play Sunday will be huge. If Gross doesn...

Smith: Newton vs. Tebow no comparison

Veteran Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith showed some love to his rookie quarterback Cam Newton, whose stellar first season has been largely overshadowed by the unexpected emergence of Tim Tebow. DeAngelo Williams is tired of getting tackled by his dreadlocks

DeAngelo Williams is having a relatively quiet year for the Panthers. His yardage might be a little bit better if he didn’t keep getting tackled from behind when a defender grabs his dreadlocks. It’s happened at least twice, including last week against Atlanta. Williams learned that it can be legal. “I actually learned something about…
