..........Gregg Williams was hired by the Buffalo Bills in 2001, he was asked to bring a hard-line disiplined approach to a team that needed it. A dissappointing loss in the 1999 playoffs (to the Titans, no less) and a mediocre 8-8 season in 2000 forced Wade Phillips out. When replacing the very player-friendly Phillips, the Bills front office insisted on creating a change in culture within their team.
