Found January 30, 2012 on The Rap Sheet:
One of the strangest things about this week is that the Patriots are practicing at the Colts facility. While their fierce rival imploded, while QB Peyton Manning will likely be looking for a new home, the Patriots are settling into the Colts Complex and gearing up for Super Bowl XLVI. Awkward. “I think it’s a little bit strange that we are going to be at the Colts’ facility, practicing and everything like that,” receiver Wes Welker said. “I don’t know how much the people like that or anything, that has yet to be seen. Hopefully, we will be calm and polite and not rubbing it in or anything like that. So, hopefully everybody is nice, cool and appreciative.” (more…)

Welker Under the Radar

The talk of Indy so far is the ankle sprain of Rob Gronkowski, revenge vs the Giants, even Peyton Manning's future. What it is not about is Wes Welker. The productive receiver seems to be enjoying flying under the radar.

Slot-to-slot: Welker impressed by Cruz

Think of the slot receiver and you think of Wes Welker. He’s the personification of the position.

Welker a target during, after game

INDIANAPOLIS - From the moment he arrived in New England, receiver Wes Welker has caused headaches for opposing defenses, leading the league in receptions three times in the five seasons he’s been a Patriot, including 122 this year.

Video of the day: Patriots Logan Mankins and Wes Welker talk G-Men and Brady

The Patriots are flying to Indianapolis later today, but they spoke about a bunch of things having to do with Super Bowl XLVI before they left. Specifically, G Logan Mankins and WR Wes Welker addressed that nasty Giants pass-rush, QB Tom Brady’s competitiveness, and some other stuff. Check out my video:

Patriots cheerfully arrive in Indianapolis with some ambivalence

The New England Patriots arrived in Indianapolis for Super Bowl week on Sunday evening, with All-Pro receiver Wes Welker needing a quick explainer.

Current Patriots’ Offense More Potent than the 2007 Version

I know that’s hard to believe right? The New England Patriots went undefeated during the 2007 regular season with Tom Brady and Randy Moss setting a few records along the way. How could an offense that went undefeated during the regular season in 2007 be even more dangerous now, especially after losing a speedster and play-making weapon like Moss from its arsenal? It’s hard to...

More than 25,000 fans send the Patriots off to Indy for Super Bowl XLVI

Before the Patriots headed out to Indianapolis to begin the festivities leading up to Super Bowl XLVI, they went to Gillette Stadium for a send-off rally. I was flying when it happened but when I landed, I can’t deny that I was surprised. Turns out, 25,000 of you flocked to Gillette to send the team off, and this is a solid summation right here. Players and coaches took turns stepping...
