Sportsday:
The trade deadline is this week, meaning receiver Roy Williams has been in a Cowboys uniform for a year.
"He's tried to do everything we've asked him to do,'' Wade Phillips said. "He's been banged up here lately. I look forward to him coming back.''
Williams was back at practice Monday. But his numbers this season (11-214 yards and one touchdown) don't pop out at you. Four Cowboys have more receptions and three have more receiving yards.
"I think Roy is like us,'' Phillips said. "We need to wait until the end of the season and see how he does.
"I think he's going to come back strong once he's well. He's a threat out there, he gets double coverage. He does all the things we want him to do.''
