As mentioned earlier on BuffaLowDown, Coach Gailey has made it mandatory for all offensive lineman to wear knee braces during training camp as a precautionary measure to prevent injury. Although all the lineman have the braces on, injury is still bound to happen, as it did on Saturday’s practice.
Veteran OT Cornell Green left practice early on Saturday walking to the locker room under his own power but favoring his right leg. The good news is that Chris Brown of www.buffalobills.com is reporting that the injury isn’t serious.
Brown reports:
“Bills head coach Chan Gailey indicated that the injury that forced OT Cornell Green to leave practice early was not a serious one. “Just tweaked something,” said Gailey. “It’s precautionary. It looks like it’s minor and I’m hoping he’ll be back very soon.”Gailey did not disclose the location of the injury.”
Hopefully Green will be able to continue practice this week as the Bills prepare for their first preseason game on Friday, August 13th.
