We aren't sure yet who will appear on HBO's "Hard Knocks" this season, but we have begun to create a lengthy of list of teams that aren't interested in the show. The latest team to make their lack of interest clear was the 49ers on Wednesday night. Owner Jed York confirmed the news on Wednesday evening, according to CSNBayArea.com. FoxSports.com reported last month that the show's producers were possibly interested in the Ravens and 49ers with a Harbaugh brothers theme running through the show. It seemed like a huge long shot considering how closed off to the media the 49ers organization has been under Jim Harbaugh.

49ers’ Jacobs, Manningham show giant commitment to new team
Just four short months ago San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mario Manningham made the biggest catch of his NFL career. It was Manningham’s over the shoulder snag of perfectly thrown ball from Eli Manning that sustained the New York Giants game winning drive in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. Earlier this week,
On Notice: New 49ers Veterans Randy Moss, Brandon Jacobs No Lock to Make Roster
These are the dog days of the NFL offseason.
Rookies and fringe players are trying to impress enough in minicamps to get a look going into training camp. Those same players are trying to not lose their roster spots, as a release in May is never a good sign for a player’s prospects. Players are also trying to avoid getting hurt in May, something that 49ers fifth-round rookie...
49ers, Redskins latest to turn down ‘Hard Knocks’
It's becoming redundant at this point, but two more teams have said no to HBO about appearing on its Emmy-winning sports show.
USA Today reports both the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins have turned down the opportunity to appear on the latest installment of "Hard Knocks" this summer.
Niners president Jed York took to Twitter Wednesday to announce he...
Redskins, 49ers latest to pass on 'Hard Knocks'
Cross off two more teams from the 'Hard Knocks' wish list. The 49ers and Redskins are going to pass on the HBO documentary training camp series, following the Jets, Falcons, Saints and Broncos in rejecting the camera-crew circus that comes with having the cable network film practice and off-field portions of August workouts. Owner Jed York told CSNBayArea that the 49ers...
49ers’ Darius Fleming tears his ACL
The 49ers will have to wait a year to see their 2012 5th round pick hit the field as linebacker Darius Fleming has torn his ACL. The injury, which was suffered in practice, but did not happen because of contact, will likely sideline him for the entirety of the 2012 season. With two solid rush [...]
49ers RB Brandon Jacobs Skips Giants Super Bowl Ring Ceremony
Former Giants RB Brandon Jacobs didn't attend the Super Bowl ring ceremony on Wednesday night. I think winning a championship is important, not many people have one and not many people have had a chance to play in a Super Bowl, the current 49ers RB said in a report on the team's site. I respect that, but right now, I'm working towards the same goal with a new team...
What I Learned from Michael Crabtree Chat
Michael Crabtree was the player whose name was drawn out of a hat this week to participate in the 49ers Player/Fan Chat. I don’t know why I was expecting that maybe a tough question would be answered. We all know that the questions are screened and that they choose the non-controversial or interesting ones. As I type this, the chat has been going on for about 30 minutes and from...
The ‘Old Moss’ has arrived in San Francisco
Randy Moss has shown up to 49ers camp in the best shape he's been in for years, but how long until he retracts and becomes the pain he has been?
49ers 5th round pick Fleming tears ACL
Tough break for rookie linebacker Darius Fleming at San Francisco's minicamp.
The team, along with the MRI results, have confirmed that it is indeed a torn ACL, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
Fleming, chosen 165th overall in the 5th round, came down on his knee awkwardly during a non-contact drill.
