Packers offensive guard Josh Sitton suffered a sprained knee against Detroit and probably will miss the New York Giants game Dec. 4 and possibly more. The sprain is separate from the knee injury Sitton has been dealing with a good part of the season and has affected his play. This time, he sprained his knee in the game and had to come out. He was unable to return. He had played through the other injury without missing any time.

McCarthy: Josh Sitton Likely Out vs. Giants, Erik Walden Arrested

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy had a long injury to go through Friday, and one of his defensive players found himself on the wrong side of the law early this morning. The biggest injury news McCarthy announced was that right guard Josh Sitton, who left Thursday’s win over the Detroit Lions, would be “hard-pressed” to play next Sunday against the New...

11-0 Packers glad to have time to get healthy

Having dispatched the upstart Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, the undefeated Green Bay Packers now can focus on getting healthy during their mini-bye week. And they're going to need the time. The Packers lost starting right guard Josh Sitton to a knee injury and both their starting inside linebackers - A.J. Hawk and Desmond Bishop - to calf injuries during the first half...

Green Bay Packers Show Value of Teamwork in Statement Win

Going into the Thanksgiving showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions on Thursday, my prediction for a Lions upset victory was admittedly tenuous. I knew the Packers had more skill, more talent, and more depth; nevertheless, I was wary about Detroit’s ability to stun opponents with their comeback play. Green Bay has consistently been unable to drive the dagger...

Packers OT Chad Clifton's Return Up In The Air

Lost in all the injury news from yesterday’s game was the fact that Packers left tackle Chad Clifton, who has been out since Oct. 9 with a partially torn hamstring, doesn’t appear likely to return any time soon — if at all this season. Coach Mike McCarthy said today that Clifton is “not as close as I thought he was a couple weeks ago.” The Packers have kept Clifton on the roster...

Green Bay Packers Blow Out Detroit Lions in Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl

No absence of storylines from the 2011 “Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl” between the Green Bay Packers an the Detroit Lions. You had: -the Lions failing to live up to expectations/Matt Stafford throwing three picks -Green Bay winning in dominant fashion 27-8, despite playing UGLY football for a half -The Detroit fans getting a petition passed to prevent the crappy, overrated...

Packers LB Walden arrested on assault charge

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers starting linebacker Erik Walden was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend.

Packers-Lions Grades

As usual, Aaron Rodgers had a strong game, especially after a key second-half change by coach Mike McCarthy. For a change of pace, the pass defense was exceptional in bagging three interceptions and slowing down Calvin Johnson.

Packers' patience put to test

The Green Bay Packers have certainly absorbed some shots this season. From Day 1, players have said there's a bull's-eye on their backs. Lately, opponents have been taking that literally. Ndamukong Suh's tirade in Green Bay's 27-15 win Thursday wasn't their first test, and it probably won't be the last.
